AGITATING DEVICE AND AGITATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitating device and an agitating method capable of sufficiently performing both of an operation for floating particles precipitated at the bottom of a storage tank and an operation for precipitating the floating particles existing in the vicinity of a liquid level of liquid in the storage tank with a simple configuration and uniformly agitating liquid by suppressing generation of a solid rotary part.SOLUTION: An agitating device 20 includes: an agitating blade 28 rotating with a rotary shaft 22 as a center; and a pair of guide sections 24 and 26 provided on each of an upper side and a lower side of the agitating blade 28 in the longitudinal direction of the rotary shaft 22. Each of the pair of guide sections 24 and 26 has each opening 24a and 26a to suck fluid into a region between the guide sections 24 and 26. Fluid is discharged from the region between the guide sections 24 and 26 to the sides.
