PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an activity amount calculation device capable of accurately calculating an activity amount with an inexpensive configuration.SOLUTION: An activity amount calculation device 100 comprises a position detection unit 100a and information processing unit 100b. The position detection: has a plurality of access points 70 for receiving a signal from a wireless LAN terminal carried by a person; and detects a position of the person on the basis of the signal from the wireless LAN terminal received by the access points. The information processing unit acquires position data by person from a result of the detection by the position detection unit and stores the data as time-sequence data. The information processing unit: calculates an activity amount per unit time by person, on the basis of a position variation amount per unit time by person calculated by referring to one piece of position data and another piece of the position data time-sequentially adjacent to the position data included in the time-sequence data and information on activity strength determined with respect to the person's position; and integrates activity amounts per unit time by person to calculate a total activity amount by person.
