FIELD: biotechnology.SUBSTANCE: yeast strain Hansenula polymorpha - producer of recombinant protein L1 of human papillomavirus (HPV) of type 16 is proposed. The strain was obtained by introducing into the genome of yeast cell of one copy of the DNA sequence encoding the capsid protein L1 HPV of type 16, under the control of AIBN promoter and one copy of DNA sequence encoding the capsid protein L1 HPV of type 16, under control of MOX promoter.
