The meter has a case (1) with front cover comprising markings, where the case encloses an electronic board (8) on which energy consumption display block (8) is connected. Shunt (16) connects phases of inlet and outlet connection terminals (10-13). A cut-off member (17) is connected to the shunt to cut off the supply to a consumer. The block is connected on the board in a reversible manner such that the energy consumption is read in top and bottom positions of the meter. The cover covers the positions of the meter, and the markings of the cover are read in corresponding position of the case.
