<p>The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for personal identity theft prevention. The apparatus for personal identity theft prevention comprises an estimating unit for estimating a user′s gender and age based on an image of the user received along with a request for personal identity verification from a client terminal of the user; a gender consistency calculating unit for calculating a gender consistency by using the user′s gender entered by the user and an estimated user′s gender; an age consistency calculating unit for calculating an age consistency by using the user′s age entered by the user and an estimated user′s age; a final consistency calculating unit for calculating a final consistency by using the gender consistency and the age consistency; and a confirmation unit for determining whether identity theft has taken place and whether identity theft protection should be activated.</p> |
