The present invention relates to a method to determine a ride height of a body of a motor vehicle, comprising the steps of: determining the wheel heights on four or more different wheels of the motor vehicle; selecting three different wheel heights of the determined wheel heights in each case; determining a ride height of the vehicle body for each selection; comparing the determined ride heights; and determining at least one measurement value for a wheel height is implausible if the determined ride heights significantly differ from one another by more than a predetermined amount.
