<p>Acyl derivative of 4,4'- di(azo alkanol & amino) (diphenyl sulfone or dimethyl pyrimidine) of the formula wherein R, R', Z and X are as hereinafter set forth, are described. The compound of above mentioned structure exhibits useful antimicrobial activity, particularly against fungi and bacteria, inhibiting the reductase reaction of bacteria and potentiating the antibacterial activity of sulfones.</p> |
