FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to a component of a joint endoprosthesis and aims at forming a movable connection together with a coupled sliding surface (26) of the other component of the prosthesis (11, 23) or with a osseous supporting bearing of the joint or soft tissue. The component of the prosthesis comprises a sliding surface (19, 24), which is formed by a sliding surface coating (20) applied on a body of the component of the prosthesis (10, 22). The sliding surface coating (20) possesses an antimicrobial action. The sliding surface coating (20) contains silver. The sliding surface coating (20) contains high-melting metal nitride, oxynitride or oxide. Silver (21) in the sliding surface coating (20) makes a weight portion of 2% to 15%. According to one embodiment, the high-melting metal is presented by titanium. What is also provided is a joint endoprosthesis with the first component of the prosthesis formed as described above, and with the second component of the prosthesis (11, 23), which has the coupled sliding surface (26).
