PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embroidery frame, a sewing machine and a pressure detection device which enable work cloth to be securely held in the embroidery frame.SOLUTION: A sewing machine includes: a pressure detector which is provided on an embroidery frame 10L and detects work cloth holding pressure acting between the inner peripheral surface of an outer frame 21 and the outer peripheral surface of an inner frame 22 when the outer frame 21 is clamped by a clamping mechanism 25 of the embroidery frame 10L; and detection signal input means for inputting the detection signal of the pressure detector. In addition, the sewing machine includes: comparison means for comparing a value according to the detection signal input through the detection signal input means with a preset threshold value for pressure determination; and notification means for providing notification about a comparison result obtained by the comparison means.
