Provided are an uplink power detection method, device and base station equipment. The method includes: detecting the modulation and coding manner and the initial block error rate of an uplink data packet sent by UE (101); and judging whether or not the uplink power of the UE is limited, according to the relation between the order of the detected modulation and coding manner of the uplink data packet sent by the UE and a first threshold, and the relation between the detected initial block error rate of the uplink data packet sent by the UE and a second threshold (102). According to the embodiments of the present invention, the base station equipment detects the modulation and coding manner and the initial block error rate of the uplink data packet sent by the UE, and can judge whether or not the uplink power of the UE is limited according to the detected modulation and coding manner and the initial block error rate, so that the limit situation of the uplink signal of the UE can be accurately characterized. |
