PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source for lighting in which a mouth piece is securely connected with a housing.SOLUTION: A light source for lighting includes: a long substrate 110 where LED elements 120a are disposed; a long housing 20 in which the substrate 110 is disposed, the long housing 20 having an opening at a longitudinal end part; and a power supply mouth piece 30 fixed to an end part of the housing 20. The power supply mouth piece 30 includes a cylindrical mouth piece body 310. The mouth piece body 310 includes: an inner wall 370 which is provided in the mouth piece body 310 along an inner side surface of the mouth piece body 310; and a connection surface 370 which connects the inner side surface of the mouth piece body 310 with the inner wall 370. The end part of the housing 20 is inserted into a space formed by the inner side surface, the inner wall 370, and the connection surface 371 of the mouth piece body 310 and is fixed to the power supply mouth piece 30 by an adhesive 60.
