PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To illuminate a wide range with sufficient light intensity with a compact light guide body.SOLUTION: A license plate illumination device includes: a bar-like light guide body 30 disposed along an outer edge part of a license plate 99; and a light source 40 introducing light to an introduction part 31 in one end part of the light guide body. The light guide body is formed with a radiation face 32 radiating radiation light onto a display face 991 of the license plate and a reflection face 33 reflecting the introduced light from the light source to the radiation face side separately on the front and rear sides in a state that they are along the long direction, and is formed with first concave grooves 321 along the long direction in at least a part of the radiation face, and the inside of the first concave groove is formed with a diffusion part 322 diffusing and radiating the introduced light reflected on the reflection face and a non-diffusion part 323 radiating the introduced light to a prescribed direction without causing the diffusion. |
