<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knocking detection device of an internal combustion engine, which can inhibit erroneous detection that knocking occurs although it is actually mechanical vibrations, and can execute proper knocking suppression control.SOLUTION: A knocking detection device of an internal combustion engine comprises: vibration sensors 4, 5 which are mounted to a cylinder block 21 of a gasoline engine 1 to form a pair axisymmetric to a cylinder axis Q1 and a crank axis Q2; and an engine ECU 3 which, on condition that the amplitude of a vibration waveform calculated from sensor values of the vibration sensors 4, 5 is a predetermined threshold or larger, executes knocking suppression control for suppressing knocking, and on condition that the amplitude of the vibration waveform is below the predetermined threshold, stops or prohibits the knocking suppression control.</p> |
