Provided is a reciprocating tool that can effect an increase in cutting speed and reduced vibrations. The present invention is provided with: a main body (12); an electric motor (16) provided within the main body (12); a drive gear (19) provided to the electric motor (16); a planet gear (22) connected to the drive gear (19); a ring gear (27) connected to the planet gear (22); a motion conversion unit (49) that converts the rotation of the ring gear (27) to reciprocating motion; a blade (17) that is driven by the motion conversion unit (49); and a balance weight (36) that suppresses vibrations generated by the reciprocating motion. The ring gear (27) rotates around a center of rotation by means of the drive force of the electric motor (16). |
