<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting a nozzle at appropriate timing using a print record liquid.SOLUTION: When there is a print job, a print quality level (a print mode) included in the print job is read (S102). The print quality level is defined as a low level when a print mode is a "speed" mode, and as a high level when the print mode is a "fine" mode. Inspection timing is defined as timing to start a nozzle inspection routine for inspecting whether a nozzle is clogged using ink, and is set as the number of large print passes when the print quality is the low level, or the number of small print passes when the print quality is the high level. Then, inspection timing corresponding to a print quality level included in a present print job is read to set as the present inspection timing (S104), and then one-page printing is executed (S110), and, when the number of print passes reaches the inspection timing during printing, a nozzle inspection routine is executed (S114).</p> |
