PROCESS FOR PREPARING MOLDINGS USING MIXTURES OF AMINES WITH GUANIDINE DERIVATIVES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for preparing moldings which allows the cure rate of epoxy resins to be raised, without increasing viscosity of the epoxy resin mixture so that complete and uniform curing is no longer possible.SOLUTION: A process for producing a molding includes the steps of: I) providing a mold; II) introducing a blend containing epoxy resins into the mold; and III) curing the material present in the mold. The mixture in the step II) contains a component b) and 0.3 to 0.9 amine equivalent, per epoxy equivalent of the epoxy resin used in the step II), of a component a). The component a) contains an amine having a functionality equal to or greater than 2. When mixed stoichiometrically with the epoxy resin in the 100 g batch, the amine leads at room temperature to a cure time of less than 24 h. The component b) contains a compound of the formula I.
