<p>A washbasin device for inducing water saving in a public washbasin and a water saving method using the same are disclosed. The water saving method comprises a) a step for automatically supplying water for a predetermined period of time (Ta) when a body near a washbasin is detected; b) a step for counting and displaying remaining time based on the predetermined period of time (Ta), and counting and displaying a standby term to stop supplying water after the predetermined period of time (Ta) elapses; and c) a step for initializing the system when a body is not detected, meaning that face washing or washing is completed during the predetermined period of time (Ta). Accordingly, when supplying water during the predetermined period of time after a user is detected, water can be saved by stopping water regardless of the predetermined period of time (Ta) if washing is completed; and public water can be saved by limiting unnecessary water usage except necessary usage by allowing a standby term if further washing is needed after the predetermined period of time elapses.</p> |
