PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-wheel motor drive unit in which the individual information, e.g., the origin information of a motor 10, can be inputted reliably to the program of an inverter, while simplifying the input work.SOLUTION: A terminal box 72 is installed in the casing 11 of the motor 10 of an in-wheel motor drive unit, and a semiconductor memory 73 is provided in the terminal box 72 as a recording medium for recording the individual information of the motor 10 including at least the parameter information required for driving the motor 10. Since the individual information, e.g., the origin information of the motor 10, can be read directly from the semiconductor memory 73 into the inverter, input work into the inverter program can be performed reliably and simply. |
