<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact force absorbing member capable of easily obtaining target impact energy absorbing characteristics without inviting a problem of rise of development cost, elongation of development period or the like.SOLUTION: An impact force absorbing member 1 is formed by folding a thin plate material 2 assuming a regular square shape so as to form a plurality of mountain fold parts (○mark) and valley fold parts (× mark) extended from a center position C of the regular square toward an outer periphery 2a, and has a steric shape approximating polygonal pyramid which assumes substantially star shape in a plane view. Therein, the mountain fold parts and the valley fold parts are deformed in an extension direction and are subjected to buckling deformation and, thereby, a compressive load F is absorbed.</p> |
