The method according to the present invention for manufacturing sugar is provided with: a process for preparing a slurry, in which the content of biomass is 10-30 w/v%, by adding an aqueous solution containing a sugar or a sugar solution to the biomass; and a process for obtaining the sugar having glucose as the main component by adding a cellulose-degrading enzyme and/or a hemicellulose-degrading enzyme to the biomass-containing slurry to degrade the cellulose and/or hemicellulose contained in the biomass. |
