摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately prevent an organic layer that is removed by laser light from scattering in a pixel area, thereby minimizing a decrease in display characteristics.SOLUTION: A top-emission organic EL display device includes: a substrate; pixel electrodes; an auxiliary electrode; an insulating layer that is formed between the pixel electrodes and that has an opening so as to expose the auxiliary electrode; an organic EL layer that is formed on the pixel electrodes and that is configured from a plurality of organic layers; at least one layer of the organic layers, formed on the auxiliary electrode; a contact section that is an opening in the organic layer formed on the auxiliary electrode; and a transparent electrode layer that is formed on the organic EL layer and the contact section. In the top-emission organic EL display device, at least one of a and b is 2 μm or more when the distance to which the insulating layer between the contact section and a pixel electrode adjacent to the contact section overlaps with the pixel electrode is denoted by a, and the distance to which the insulating layer between the contact section and a pixel electrode adjacent to the contact section overlaps with the auxiliary electrode is denoted by b.
