PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods and compositions for monitoring, diagnosis, prognosis, and determination of treatment regimens in subjects suffering from or suspected of having a renal injury.SOLUTION: The method includes a step of detecting a kidney injury marker, as a biomarker for diagnosis of a renal injury and prognosis thereof, selected from the group consisting of hyaluronic acid, immunoglobulin A, immunoglobulin G1, immunoglobulin G2, insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 7, α-1 antitrypsin, a serum amyloid P-component, a metalloproteinase inhibitor 2, a hepatocyte growth factor, an intercellular adhesion molecule 1, &bgr;-2-glycoprotein 1, an interleukin-1&bgr;, neutrophil elastase, a tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 11B, an interleukin-11, cathepsin D, C-C motif chemokine 24, C-X-C motif chemokine 6, C-C motif chemokine 13, C-X-C motif chemokine-1, and C-X-C motif chemokine-2. |
