<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer having a waste liquid unit with a large capacity without increasing the installation area and to improve maintainability by improving workability during replacement of the waste liquid unit.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer 1 comprises a waste liquid unit 42 which collects and stores waste ink discharged during maintenance of a print head 22 and a waste liquid unit mounting part 40 on which the waste liquid unit 42 is mounted. The waste liquid unit mounting part 40 is disposed beneath a base frame 37 which constitutes a bottom surface of a paper feed cassette mounting part 5 and overlaps with the paper feed cassette mounting part 5 when viewed in the vertical direction Z of the printer. In addition, the waste liquid unit mounting part 40 has an opening at the printer front direction Y1 side as the paper feed cassette mounting part 5 does. An opening/closing cover 41 is attached to a mounting port 40a of the waste liquid unit mounting part 40.</p> |
