Provided is a compound represented by general formula (I) [where X is a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, and R is an optionally substituted aryl group or an optionally substituted heteroaryl group], or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which has an excellent LCAT activation effect and is useful as the active ingredient of a therapeutic agent or prophylactic agent for arteriosclerosis, arteriosclerotic heart disease, coronary heart disease (including heart failure, myocardial infarction, angina, cardiac ischemia, cardiovascular disturbance, and angioplasty-related restenosis), cerebrovascular disease (including stroke and cerebral infarction), peripheral vascular disease (including diabetic vascular complication), dyslipidemia, hypo-HDL-cholesterolemia, and kidney disease, and particularly as the active ingredient of an antiarteriosclerosis agent.
