<p>In some vehicles and construction and agricultural machinery, the driver's cabin is mounted in a tiltable manner over the engine room. For tilting the driver's cabin linear actuators can be used, where an electric motor through a transmission drives a spindle (3), on which is a spindle nut (7) secured against rotation. Secured to the spindle nut there is an inner tube (8) functioning as a thrust rod guided in an outer tube (2). Common to all the vehicles and machinery is that these are exposed to a great amount of torsion and dynamic loads in the structure. In order to prevent these loads from propagating to the linear actuators, the inner tube (8) is divided into a first portion (8a) and a second portion (8b), which may be coupled by means of a coupling mechanism. During operation of the vehicle, i.e. when the driver's cabin is in its position of use, the second portion (8b) of the inner tube is released, such that it can move freely with the movements of the driver's cabin. During servicing the vehicle is at a halt and is thus not exposed to loads. When tilting the driver's cabin the first portion (8a) of the inner tube is moved outwards and is coupled to the second portion (8b) and during the continued movement the driver's cabin is tilted. When returning to the starting position the inner tube (8) pulls the driver's cabin back into place and when the driver's cabin again is in place the second portion (8b) of the inner tube is released from the first portion (8a).</p> |
