<p>The present invention relates to an image processing device and a method thereof. The image processing device comprises: a depth map generating unit which generates a depth map of input image data; a pre-processing unit which detects the edge part between an object and a background on the depth map and then adjusts the depth values located towards the background, outside the object, from the edge part to lower depth variations; and an image warping unit which shifts pixel data of input image data on the basis of the depth values on the depth map inputted from the pre-processing unit so as to generate new virtual-viewpoint image data.</p> |
