PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel promoter which can exhibit ON-type bipolar cell-specific transcriptional activity in a small size.SOLUTION: The invention provides a DNA which consists of a base sequence identical or substantially identical to a specific base sequence or a partial base sequence thereof containing at least proximal Otx2 junction sequence, and which has an ON-type bipolar cell specific transcriptional activity; and a vector comprising a promoter which consists of the DNA. By linking a gene for prevention and/or treatment to downstream of the vector and administering to a mammalian retina, prevention and/or treatment of hereditary retinal disorder or retinopathy accompanied by degeneration of visual cells is enabled. |
