Provided is a focus adjustment device whereby it is possible to carry out an appropriate correction according to the state of a photographic lens or an image capture element. The focus adjustment device comprises: an image capture element (21), further comprising pixels for image capture and pixels for focus detection, which receives and photoelectrically converts a light beam which passes through a photographic lens and outputs an image signal; a first storage unit (#9) which stores information relating to an angle of emergence range of the light beam which emerges toward the image capture element; a second storage unit (#15) which stores information relating to a characteristic of the image capture element (21); and a computation unit (#13) which computes information for focus adjustment on the basis of the output of the first storage unit and the output of the second storage unit.
