PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardation additive for resins making resins difficult to ignite and capable of adding flame resistance to the resins by being added to various resins.SOLUTION: There is provided a flame-retardation additive for resins containing red phosphorus, a phosphate-containing flame retardant and medium for dispersion with the content of the red phosphorus in a range of 25 to 75 wt.%, the content of the phosphate-containing flame retardant in a range of 75 to 25 wt.% and the content of the medium for dispersion in a range of 30 to 180 wt.% based on the total weight of the red phosphorus and the phosphate-containing flame retardant and a weight ratio of the medium for dispersion to the red phosphorus is in the range of 0.75 to 4.0.
