Provided is a power management unit, comprising a part which transmits to a server first information data relating to a first device which creates, consumes, or accumulates a first energy, and second information data relating to a second device which creates, consumes, or accumulates a second energy. The power management unit further comprises a part which receives from the server control data for controlling the first device and the second device, and a part which transmits the control data to the first device and the second device. Additionally, provided is a power management method, whereby first information data and second information data are transmitted from a power management unit to a server. Furthermore, control data for controlling the first device and the second device is transmitted from the server to the power management unit, and the control data is transmitted from the power management unit to the first device and the second device.
