<p>A method for orthodontic treatment simulation according to the present invention comprises a teeth image selecting step for selecting images of a plurality of individual teeth along contour lines of teeth from a two dimensional teeth image of a patient; a contact point setting step for setting virtual contact point locations of adjacent teeth on the plurality of individual teeth images after a treatment; and a teeth rearrangement step for creating an image after rearranging the plurality of individual teeth, so that the contact points of the plurality of individual teeth images are continuous. The system for orthodontic treatment simulation according to the present invention comprises a storing unit, an input unit, a simulation performing unit, and a display unit; wherein the simulation performing unit includes a teeth image selecting module for selecting images of a plurality of individual teeth along contour lines of teeth from a two dimensional teeth image stored in the storing unit; a contact point setting module for setting virtual contact point locations of adjacent teeth on the plurality of individual teeth images after a treatment; and a tooth rearrangement module for creating an image after rearranging the plurality of individual teeth, so that the contact points of the plurality of individual teeth images are continuous.</p> |
