<p>The present invention relates to a composition containing xylitol esters. The composition is the mixture of pentanethiol anhydride and mono-, di- and triester induced from xylitol obtained by a combination of linear C_6-C_25 fatty acids. (Fig.1), and has the important anti-microbial function by being applied independently or in combination with potassium sorbate, benzyl alcohol, caprylyl glycol, phenoxyethanol, phenethyl propionate, phenethyl alcohol, nerolidol, 1,3-propanediol, 1,2-hexanediol, 1,2-hexanediol + p-anisic acid. The composition is applied independently and in combination so as to serve as important anti-microbial agents, the suppressor for suppressing the growth of yeast, mold and bacteria, the co-emulsifying agents, and the thickener.</p> |
