PRINTING PREPARATION METHOD OF PRINTER AND PRINTING PREPARATION ASSISTING DEVICE OF PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required for job change and occurrence of paper loss by suppressing an operation for adjusting ink film thickness in advance to minimum necessity.SOLUTION: When changing a job from a current print job to a next print job, following steps are performed in the order : an inker reset step in which a print paper of a first set value is used to activate a printer for reducing an ink film thickness in an inker ; a printing cylinder cleaning step in which a print paper of a second set value is used to activate the printer for reducing an ink film thickness of a printing cylinder ; a pre-inking step in which ink supply of a third set value is applied to the inker to form an ink film thickness corresponding to a next print job ; and a trial printing print step in which a print paper of a fourth set value is used to perform trial printing. The set value is set according to a job change mode that is specified by combination of a current print condition including a kind of print material and a characteristic of a print pattern in a current print job and a next print condition including a kind of print material and a characteristic of a print pattern in a next print job.
