PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of providing a patient with information related to contraindication medicine or the like with respect to medicine to be prescribed to the patient, without forcing specification change or the like of an existing computer system which outputs information related to medicine.SOLUTION: A printer includes: a communication control section 391 (370) which is a printer main body 320 having a print unit 330 for performing printing on a print medium and which transmits/receives data to/from a medicine identification information management server 500 which processes information related to medicine; information extraction means 352 for extracting information for specifying medicine on the basis of data received from an in-hospital system controller 210; and transmission control means 354 for allowing the medicine identification information management server 500 to transmit information extracted by the information extraction means 352 through the communication control section 391 (370). |
