PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent mixing of colors of neighboring pixels.SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent display device includes: an insulating layer 18 provided in a region between neighboring pixel electrodes 16 so as to cover the peripheries of the respective pixel electrodes 16; an organic electroluminescent film 38 provided so as to include a common layer 40 that continuously cover the plurality of pixel electrodes 16 and the insulating layer 18; a common electrode 42 provided on the organic electroluminescent film 38; and a sealing layer 44 that seals the organic electroluminescent film 38 and the common electrode 42 so as to cover them. Each pixel electrode 16 has, at its edge including the periphery, a recessed portion 16a whose upper surface is depressed. The common layer 40 has recessed portions 40a whose upper surfaces are depressed, at positions respectively corresponding to the recessed portions 16a of the pixel electrodes 16. The common electrode 42 has recessed portions 42a whose upper surfaces are depressed, at positions corresponding to the recessed portions 40a of the common layer 40. The sealing layer 44 is dented in correspondence to the recessed portions 42a of the common electrode 42. |
