PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cloth edge curl correction device which is mounted on a sewing machine provided with a turn-back guide device and thereby reliably corrects curl occurring at a cloth edge before introduction into the turn-back guide device, so that turn-back sewing of excellent quality can be stably performed without requiring any preparatory operation.SOLUTION: A cloth edge curl correction device includes: a support plate 51 which is extended in a feeding direction of cloth W at a front position of a turn-back guide device 4 for folding up and down, over a prescribed width, an edge part of the cloth W to be fed to a needle location on a pipe-shaped bed 11; a cloth support 52 which is provided on the support plate 51 so as to be protruded and supports the cloth W from under; and a first air ejection nozzle 61 which ejects air toward a base part of the cloth support 52. Ejected air from the first air ejection nozzle 61 is blown against the edge of the cloth W on the cloth support 52, thereby stretching and correcting curl occurring at the edge. Then, the cloth W is fed with the edge arranged along the support plate 51. |
