PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure an effective surface area of a glass film to a mating surface area of a support glass plate as large as possible, and to provide a method of easily manufacturing a glass film suitable for achieving the above object.SOLUTION: In a glass film laminate G, which is formed by laminating a glass film 1 of a thickness of 300 μm or less and a support glass plate 2 supporting the glass film 1 and having an approximately rectangular peripheral outline with four corners being cut off, the glass film 1 has an approximately rectangular peripheral outline with four corners being cut off, so that the peripheral outline of the glass film 1 extends so as to follow the peripheral outline of the support glass plate 2.
