PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag opening transport device which automatically transports and opens a flexible container bag and achieves high flexibility of the equipment layout, and to provide a bag opening transport method.SOLUTION: A bag opening transport device 1 transports a flexible container bag 80 filled with a particulate matter and puts the particulate matter into an input port of equipment 90. The bag opening transport device 1 includes: a frame supporting the flexible container bag 80; a chute which is disposed below the flexible container bag supported by the frame and is connected with an opening of the flexible container bag; a bag opening machine 10 including a closing machine which restricts the particulate matter from being discharged from the chute; a crane 20 which transports the bag opening machine 10 to a position above the input port; and a control device which controls the closing machine and discharges the particulate matter from the chute.
