PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for detecting moving object around vehicle for making it possible to: detect a moving object even in a position, such as a bottom part of a vehicle body of large-scale constructing machine, which is not displayed as a combined overhead video image; and notify a user of a result of the detection.SOLUTION: A system for detecting moving object around vehicle comprises: a circumference video image input unit for imaging a plurality of video images around an own vehicle; a combined video image construction unit for constructing a combined overhead video image by extracting a combined video image construction region from the plurality of circumference video images imaged by the circumference video image input unit and combining a plurality of extracted combined video image construction regions; and an output unit for presenting the combined overhead video image to a user. The system for detecting moving object around vehicle also comprises a moving object detection processing unit for performing processing of detecting a moving object on the plurality of circumference video images. The moving object detection processing unit notifies the user of a detection result by outputting the detection result to the combined overhead video image, even when detecting a moving object in a region other than a region shown in the combined overhead video image.
