This blood treatment filter for removing undesired components from blood or a liquid containing a blood component is characterized by being provided with a sheet-form filter element, and a rigid container which has an inlet-side container material and an outlet-side container material arranged on either side of the filter element and the inner space of which is partitioned by the filter element into an inlet space and an outlet space. The filter element has a filter surface on the side of the inlet space and a filter surface on the side of the outlet space, and an end surface disposed along the peripheral edges of the pair of filter surfaces. On the inlet-side container material and outlet-side container material, gripping portions are provided for clamping and applying pressure to the outside edge portions of the pair of filter surfaces, and the gripping portions allow compressing the filter element to 0.05-0.5 times the original thickness. |
