The sorption drying system (TS) of a dishwasher machine (GS) comprises at least one sorption compartment (SB) comprising a reversibly dehydrogenatable sorption material (ZEO). Said compartment is connected to the washing compartment (SPB) by means of at least one air guiding channel (LK) for the passage of an air flow (LS2). A least one sorption unit (SE) comprising sorption drying material is arranged in the sorption compartment (SB) in such a way that the air flow (LS2) can flow through the sorption unit (SE) comprising the sorption drying material (ZEO), essentially in or against the direction of gravity.
