CONTROL SIGNALING FOR TRANSMISSION OVER CONTINUOUS AND NON-CONTINUOUS FREQUENCY BANDS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for constructing scheduling assignments for transmission, by user equipment (UE), of data signals over a single continuous bandwidth and multiple non-continuous clusters having a continuous bandwidth.SOLUTION: The scheduling assignments for each transmission structure are designed to always allow the maximum number of decoding operations that the UE needs to perform to receive the scheduling assignments. The data signal transmission over the single continuous bandwidth can be performed with or without frequency hopping and the data signal transmission over the multiple non-continuous clusters having a continuous bandwidth may always be performed without frequency hopping.
