PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a series of different sized instruments for applying surgical clips which may be assembled in the same manner from one size to another size.SOLUTION: A surgical clip applier 100 comprises: a housing 104; at least one handle 106 pivotably connected to the housing; a channel assembly 108 extending distally from the housing; a clip carrier disposed within the channel assembly and defining a channel and a plurality of windows 104c in the clip carrier; a plurality of clips slidably disposed within the channel of the clip carrier; a wedge plate 180 reciprocally disposed within the channel assembly and operatively connected to the handles; and a clip follower slidably disposed within the channel of the clip carrier and disposed proximally to the plurality of clips. |
