1. A storage device comprising:
a memory controller connected via a data strobe line and a plurality of data lines to a flash memory and comprising a read enable signal (nRE) cycle control circuit; the flash memory being configured during a read operation to provide read data to the memory controller and comprising a data strobe generator, wherein during the read operation, the nRE cycle control circuit provides a cycle-controlled read enable signal to the flash memory during an initial control period, the flash memory, upon receiving the cycle-controlled read enable signal, uses the data strobe generator to generate a cycle-controlled data strobe signal having a cycle that correspond to a cycle of the cycle-controlled read enable signal and provides the cycle-controlled data strobe signal to the memory controller, such that the read data is transferred from the flash memory to the memory controller synchronously with the cycle-controlled data strobe signal.
