FLASHING LED MESSAGE BOX

A message box for presenting messages, such as advertising material to target consumers. The message box is suitable for being integrated into existing infrastructure. Further, the message box includes an electronic illumination source that can be pulsed on or off, and at varying intensity levels so as to maximize or increase the ability to attract the attention of the target consumers. Other controls can be applied in operation of the illumination sources so as to create additional attractions to target consumers. The messages can be manually or automatically changed.

1. An apparatus for presenting messages for viewing, the apparatus comprising:
a box enclosure having an open side and defining a lip along at least two interior walls of the box enclosure, the lip being offset from an edge of the open side of the box enclosure, the box enclosure further defining at least two dimples positioned on the surface of each interior wall between the lip and the edge of the open side of the box enclosure, the box enclosure further configured to be deformed when pressure is applied against the dimples; an electronic light source configured to be positioned within the interior of the box enclosure on a side of the lip that is distal from the edge of the open side of the box; a graphic lens configured to fit within the open side of the box enclosure by applying pressure against the graphic lens to force it past the dimples, causing the box enclosure to be deformed thereby allowing the graphic lens be positioned between the dimples and the lip; a controller configured to alter the intensity and rate of change of the electronic light source such that the intensity may be set to one of a plurality of on values; and a mounting bracket to mount the box to another structure.
