The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for checking the engagement of a hook and, more specifically, to an apparatus and a method for checking the engagement of a hook to accurately check the engagement of a hook with a hook hanger. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for checking the engagement of a hook comprises: a rotatable shaft separated from the bottom the hook when the hook approaches the hook hanger to be engaged with the hook hanger; a hook plate linked with the shaft to come in contact with and be joined to the hook to be rotated when the hook approaches the hook hanger; and a display part to display the movement of the hook plate when the hook is engaged with the hook hanger. According to another embodiment of the present invention, the method for checking the engagement of a hook comprise: a step of sensing the initial position of the hook plate before the hook approaches the hook hanger; a step of sensing the movement of the hook plate due to the approach of the hook; and a step of determining whether the hook plate escapes from an initial sensing position corresponding to the initial position of the hook plate before the approach of the hook. |
