PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which can be improved in washing performance by widening the range of pumping performance of a pumping vane.SOLUTION: A washing machine includes: a pumping passage for pumping up a washing liquid in a washing tub from the bottom part of the washing tub and returning it into the washing tub; a rotary vane for agitating laundry in the washing tub; and a pumping vane 5 which is provided between the bottom of the washing tub and the rotary vane and is rotated in normal and reverse directions to feed the washing liquid in the washing tub from the bottom of the washing tub to the pumping passage. The pumping vane 5 includes: a disk-like base part 70 with the rotation axis of the pumping vane 5 as the center of a circle; and a plurality of rib-like vane parts 46 radially arranged on the base part 70 with the rotation axis of the pumping vane 5 as the center. At least either of one side face 46A and the other side face 46B forming both side faces of each vane part 46 in a rotation direction S of the pumping vane 5 intersects a radial direction R with the rotation axis of the pumping vane 5 as the center when viewed from the rotation axis direction of the pumping vane 5.
