<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of accurately determining whether to apply current or cut off supply of current to a motor relay even if a back electromotive voltage is generated by a motor at a time of determining whether to apply the current or cut off the supply of the current to the motor relay.SOLUTION: An electric power steering device includes: a bridge circuit configured by a plurality of switching elements; a motor connected among output terminals of the bridge circuit to apply assisting force to a steering system; a motor relay for switching power supply/cutoff of the power supply between the bridge circuit and the motor; and an output-terminal-voltage detection circuit detecting an output terminal voltage of the bridge circuit. If a current is supplied to one of the switching elements constituting the bridge circuit and located on a low potential side, it is determined whether to supply the current or stop the supply of the current to the motor relay on the basis of a value corresponding to fluctuation in the output terminal voltage.</p> |
