The present invention relates to a method for transmitting and receiving a downlink control channel and to an apparatus therefor. The method by which a base station transmits a downlink control channel, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: determining a starting subframe of a plurality of downlink subframes through which a downlink control channel is repeatedly transmitted; determining a search space consisting of a control channel element (CCE) index or indexes or an enhanced CCE (ECCE) index or indexes constituting a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidate or an enhanced physical downlink control channel (EPDCCH) candidate which are repeatedly transmitted through the plurality of downlink subframes; and repeatedly transmitting the downlink control channel through the plurality of downlink subframes, on the basis of the determined starting subframe and the CCE index(es) or ECCE index(es).
