The present invention provides an electric storage device which achieves high output with a configuration of an undercoating layer placed on a positive electrode. According to the present invention, an electric storage device (10) comprises: a positive electrode (410), a negative electrode (420), a separator (430) placed between the positive electrode (410) and the negative electrode (420), and a nonaqueous electrolyte, wherein the positive electrode (410) includes a positive electrode substrate layer (411), a positive electrode composite layer (413) including a positive electrode active material, and an undercoating layer (412) placed between the positive electrode substrate layer (411) and the positive electrode composite layer (413). A density of the positive electrode composite layer (413) is 2.1 or more and 2.7 g/cm^3 or less. The positive electrode (410) has the rate of increase in sheet resistance after a solvent immersion test of 30% or less, and the undercoating layer (412) includes at least one kind of binder selected from the group consisting of chitosan derivatives, cellulose derivatives and acrylic acid derivatives. |
